Srinagar, Apr 26 (KNO): Following the reports of harassment of the J&K natives outside the region, the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has deployed his cabinet ministers including Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary to various cities of the country in order to ensure their safety. The cabinet ministers have visited multiple cities today after the recent attacks and harassment to J&K residents following the recent attack on tourists in Pahalgam area on April 22. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Deputy Chief Minister has arrived in Maharashtra to ensure the safety of Jammu and Kashmir natives. Deputy Chief Minister of J&K, Surinder Choudhary visited Mumbai today where he will be available to interact with students, business community and other members of J&K community at the Sahyadri Guest House, BG Kher Road, Krishnaraj Society, Walkeshwar, Malabar Hill, Mumbai. All interested student groups, business leaders or individuals from J&K wishing to meet the Deputy Chief Minister have been requested to contact Vikas Sethi, Additional PRO to Deputy CM, at 7780926074 or 9622491579. Minister for Health and Medical Education, Sakeena Itoo has called on Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT of Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria at Raj Bhavan. During the interaction, the Minister discussed several issues concerning safety and security of J&K students and business community, in wake of the recent tragic attack in Pahalgam. The Minister requested the Governor to take steps for instilling some sense of security among the J&K students and business community. The Governor assured the Minister of full cooperation and said that the Punjab and Chandigarh Administrations will ensure safety and security of all J&K residents and students. Itoo also met Chief Secretary, Punjab, K A P Sinha to discuss the issues of J&K students, business community and other individuals in the aftermath of Pahalgam attack. During the meeting, she requested the Chief Secretary and ACS to take steps for restoring a sense of security among J&K students and the business community currently in Punjab and Chandigarh. Earlier in the day, on the directions of the Chief Minister, Itoo arrived in Chandigarh to meet students and residents of Jammu and Kashmir currently staying in Punjab and Chandigarh. The Minister posted on X, “On the direction of HCM , I am available in Chandigarh and Punjab to meet students, business community and individuals from J&K to ensure a sense of security. Similarly, the Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Sports arrived Dehradun today where he will be available to interact with students, business community and other members of J&K community. Also, with the objective of reassuring and instilling a sense of security among students and businessmen from Jammu & Kashmir currently residing in different parts of Uttar Pradesh, J&K Minister Javed Ahmed Rana arrived in Lucknow. Rana will be available to interact with students, businessmen and other members of J&K community at VVIP Guest House Saket, Mahatma Gandhi Marg Lucknow. He will also be meeting senior functionaries of the UP Government. Agriculture Production Department Minister Javed Dar visited Shimla where he called on the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. Dar has discussed collaborative measures to ensure the safety, welfare, and rights of Jammu and Kashmir-origin workers, students, and entrepreneurs living in Himachal Pradesh. “As per the directions of the HCM, I’ve arrived in Shimla this morning.
